João, a Brazilian-born photographer with Greek roots, took his first photo before he could even remember. When he was very young, his grandfather gifted him his first camera. Every Sunday lunch, his grandpa would bring him a new roll of film and take the one João had used during the week. That’s when he unknowingly fell in love with photography.
Over the years, João explored every kind of photography he could, eventually gravitating toward street photography. Now based in Berlin, he’s captivated by everyday life—simple moments and complex ones alike. An amateur runner, João navigates and scans the city during his daily training, finding inspiration in its rhythm and energy.
Known for his experimentation with different filters, João has a keen eye for hazy, moody days and a talent for capturing movement, infusing his images with a dynamic, atmospheric quality that makes each scene feel alive.
